This work is based on the mediatisation of society theory, which establishes more attached importance and the presence of the mass media as mediators in various social processes, as well as on Production Studies, that analyse creative skills to draw an audience, to apply these theories to the media representation of the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective is to analyse how the generalist media have represented male/female scientists, who have become social benchmarks during the first COVID-19 wave in Spain. We analyze current normalization trends of authors' names. We review the advantages of using a single bibliographic name as well as the most common naming recommendations so that each author can choose which to follow. Analizamos las tendencias actuales sobre normalización de los nombres de autores. Se revisan las ventajas de utilizar un nombre bibliográfico único y se revisan las recomendaciones más habituales para que se elijan los de cada autor.

[EN] A historic review (fundamentally centered in Spain, but with multiple references to other international fields) of the evaluation process of scientific production has been carried out, mainly of periodicals. Available alternatives have also been analyzed after a turbulent period that has seen varied instruments for journal revision disappear. Finally, some of the tendencies and necessities in the field of scientific publication evaluation that will presumably mark the future development of future instruments and procedures are identified.
RELIEVE: twenty years immersed in the chronology of open access of the sciences

Coinciding with the first 20 years of RELIEVE, this article presents a comparative analysis of the historical milestones of the journal and the worldwide Open Access movement, in order to better frame its evolution. We review some of the principal contributions made in the field of scientific communication during these two decades: the appearance and development of electronic journals, the development of the Open Access movement, the appearance of repositories, the development of platforms to manage articles, new databases, etc.

The European Reference Index for the Humanities (ERIH) has been proposed (and officially recognized in our country) as a European alternative to the dominant indices that have a known Anglo-Saxon bias. The aim is to raise the visibility of European research in the Humanities and in various areas of the Social Sciences, in order to improve coverage of the cultural and linguistic diversity of our continent.
